“Rest Day”

11 08 2008

My assigned “Rest Days” are Monday and Tuesday but I only get today off because our team has to attend a mandatory training session that will only be held tomorrow. It will let us know about new procedures we have to follow when processing Hack, Scam and Offensive Language reports. Normally, I wouldn’t be so happy about having to work on my day off but this time, I didn’t say anything because I called in sick last week and the extra day will just even things out.

I haven’t really been looking forward to going to work anymore. Everything there changes so quickly.. from the people in charge, the people we work with, to the procedures we have to follow, our schedules and even our seating arrangements. I’ll be okay though since I’m resigning in about a month. I won’t have to deal with the constant changes much longer. Goodbye DME, Goodbye Philippines.

Don’t get me wrong, the changes aren’t all that bad. They show how fast the account is growing which means there will be a lot of room for advancement for my co-workers. There are some people I work with that I care for more than I do for the others and I wish them all the best. It’s unbelievable the amount of time and effort they put into their job. I hope that someday soon, they all get the recognition and compensation they deserve.

Gosh, I find it funny sometimes that they call our days off “Rest Days” because almost always, nobody ever gets rest during the 2 days we have off. We usually use them to get things done, whatever we weren’t able to take care of during the work week, and maybe sometimes if we’re lucky, we get to go out and have a bit of fun. But yeah, not much rest. This post right here is the perfect example. Here I am, on my only “REST DAY” of the week and I’m spending my time blogging about……. “WORK”.

Alright, well, I’m gonna get going now. I’m gonna try and see what else I can do the rest of my day.

(Wooohooo! 3rd post! ^^)
